The connectable feature is a relatively new feature, introduced in version 2.7 of TULIP. The features enables objects to be visually linked with other connectable entities via Connections. Connectables and Connections are part of the connectable feature of TULIP. More information regarding the implementation aspects of the Connectable feature can be found in the Developer section.
connector tag specifies the location of the connection's vertex. It defines the point from which a connection originates or where it ends.
connector tags MUST comply with the overall definition of a TULIP Point.
connections collection, defines a list of potential Connections, eligible for setting up a connection with this connectable entity. Connections mostly define the visual properties of edge being used to link the vertices of the involved connectable entities.
exclusive flag specifies whether this connectable instances allows multiple simultaneous connections or not. Setting the
exclusive flag to
true ensures that previously established connections are torn down before a new connection is established. Omitting the the
exclusive flag or setting it explicitly to
false will enable multiple simultaneous connections.
